At Yoga for the peaceful - hobbs we offer several types of yoga classes, from beginner to expert we have a class to fit your life. 


Yoga For Beginners

For beginners and those who like to keep it basic. Yoga For Beginners is designed for students new to yoga looking for a basic and well-rounded yoga program. You will be instructed and supported in learning the process of proper alignment in the poses, breathing techniques, the use of props in your practice to build confidence in your yoga postures, as well as introductory meditation and relaxation techniques. 

Gentle Yoga

This Level 1 introduction to yoga class emphasizes alignment, breathing techniques, simple poses and : else you need to become familiar with yoga! No experience necessary.

Prana Vinyasa

Prana Vinyasa is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana – the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence – as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya’s teachings, Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, Somatics and Shiva’s teaching experience from the last fifteen years.

Classes are ritual sadhanas (a groove to one’s self). Prana Flow classes are breath inspired journeys that offer a complete spectrum (ha-tha) of rhythms from meditative and rejuvenating to the challenging and empowering. The wave of a class is created through cycles of effective and creative sequences (vinyasas) linked together through the breathwave. Every class is well rounded, following the mandala of the body and asanas – to create whole body transformation of strength and fluidity, circulation and centering.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga-Vinyasa is a traditional practice with three main places of attention or action (trishtana): posture, breathing and gazing. This trifold method purifies the body, nervous system and mind. When this is practiced with due diligence over some time the six poisons (desire, anger, delusion, greed, envy and sloth) burn away and our inner nature shines forth. This method of hatha-yoga, through purifying body and mind, prepares one to practice all the eight limbs of Patanjali’s system of Ashtanga Yoga, as described in the Yoga sutras.

Restorative Yoga

A very relaxed yoga class which utilizes props to support, open, and create ease in the body. A totally rejuvenating practice comprised of seated postures and supported inversions which are held for longer periods of time to allow for deep relaxation in the postures. Designed for all levels and includes breath work, guided meditations, and a long savasana.

Power Vinyasa Flow

A power vinyasa style class that includes a little bit of everything from salutations to core to inversion variations. Class begins slow and steady as you bring your awareness to your breath.  Generate heat and work up a sweat as you connect each movement with your breath in an all-encompassing continuous flow sequence. You will strengthen and tone muscles while increasing mobility and decreasing tightness. Settle into a deep stretch and prepare to relax in savasana with a cool lavender towel and light adjustment.
